Combine project workshops underway…

Several Combine | Farming Heritage workshops have taken place to date, with the first taking place on the 22nd February at Manor Farm in Dethick, Derbyshire. Students from Highfields School were introduced to the farm they would be investigating, as well as visiting the Derbyshire Record Office. Following on from this date, a group of students from Rutland County College in Great Casterton, began their involvement by conducting a tour of Richard Lamb’s farm and then visiting Ron Knight’s private agricultural machinery collection, housed on Church Farm, in the village. The next group to begin their investigations were students from The Dukeries College, New Ollerton in Nottinghamshire. They had a great day in Laxton, with a very memorable encounter with birds of prey! Please have a look at each project area to find out more.
