Derbyshire Record Office

The group have now made two visits to the Derbyshire Record Office in Matlock. They had the rare chance to view amazing documents covering the Babbington plot, tithe maps of Dethick, as well as other unique records relating to the farming heritage of the area. The staff worked really hard to make all of these documents and forms of information accessible to the group, thank you again for supporting our project. The students even came away with samples of parchment paper made from sheep skin!
